It’s been a while since we rocked a Raw Footage out at ya, but we’re remedying that right now, you see. Mind you, we actually shot this a month or two back and just forgot about it (oops!) in a bunch of office shuffles we’ve had recently later. But, don’t take that as a slight to the product in it, the Olympus XZ-1 is a fine little camera with surprisingly good image files and a pretty phenomenal f1.8 aperture lens. But, I can tell you more in talky form below.

Raw Footage and the Sony NEX-5
So, remember that thing, that system that Sony announced recently? You know? yeah? What was it, interchangeable lens compact, tiny body, Alpha sensor, new “E” mount lenses? Ringing any bell? No?
Well, then you probably have no idea why all the hush-hush cloak-and-dagger in this video. Oh well, you should watch it anyway.
And learn.
Executive Panther out.
Raw Footage and the ThinkTank Retrospective 30
While I’m busy working on the new look for Roberts Raw, how about some Friday distractions in the form of absolutely silly videos about an absolutely not-silly product: the ThinkTank Photo Retrospective 30 messenger bags.
These bags are big and roomy and, well, why don’t you just watch?

And, if our take’s not enough, don’t forget Jared “The Fro” Polin over at Fro Knows Photo, whose take on theRetrospective 30 we’ve politely YouTube ninja’ed below for your viewing enjoyment.
Raw Footage and the Induro 5-Way Head
Well, it’s been a while, but we’re back with a new episode Roberts Raw Footage, now with considerably more nonsense and captions. We like captios.
Up on the block is a quick video for the new Induro 5-Way head, which features the usual 3 ways, a nodal adjustment set, and some other nice touches that we’ll leave to the video. I’m a huge fan of Induro equipment myself, so this exciting.
There’s also some other MAC Group stuff at the end, a promo from X-Rite, and an overview of a shiny new Skooba accessory.
The Voice of Raw Returns, 40% More Rambling Guaranteed
So, the last couple months were a bit rough around here, and I didn’t have time to pull Nick away from his other duties long enough for us to cut our usual Voice of Raw podcasts. But, it’s the post-Christmas lull right now and we’ve missed the sounds of of our voices as we obstensibly tell you what’s up in the camera world.
So, we’re back…TA-DA!

Raw Footage and the Sandisk Pro
Finally, a new videocast demoing the, ahem, raw speed of Sandisk’s new Extreme Pro series CF cards, rating a massive 90 megabytes per second sustainable write speed. Yowza. What’s that mean in the real world? Why not watch the video?
