If that is the case you at least need to match or exceed specs which I think Kodak does. However many consumers just want fewer things to worry and carry. The Flip does that with its built in memory and battery. I have a Canon Vixia HD Camera but thinking about getting a smaller video camera for quick shoot/upload work. Or a camera without a memory card. Or camcorder without an SD card. I'd complain more about it if it wasn't already such common practice. Sony's Webbies also needed a memory card, I recall.
