As of, well, today, you can see a few new links in the upper right of the blog to subscribe to our “audiocast” and our “videocast“. These options will give you the pages for our custom podcast feeds: one featuring Nick and I’s weekly audio podcast, and the other a feed for our popular Raw Footage series of hands-on videos and reviews.
For those of you who don’t know, this means you can now subscribe to us in your iTunes, Zune, or other mobile device software and have our audiocasts or videos automatically sync to your mobile device of choice (including iPods, iPhones, Zunes, etc)
If this sounds like exactly the sort of thing you want to do (I know I love podcasts on my Zune), check out more after the jump and I’ll tell you how to get going in iTunes and Zune. We’re working on getting these feeds added to the iTunes Store and Zune Marketplace, but until that happens you can use these instructions and be on the bleeding-edge of the Roberts Raw experience.
OK! So! You want to subscribe to our audiocast, videocast (or, we hope, both), but don’t know where to start. Lucky for you, we’ve got some advice for the most common ways we imagine this will happen.
First, for all youiPod and iPhone users, you’ll of course just need to use your trusty iTunes.
From Apple’s FAQ:
To subscribe to a podcast without using the iTunes Store:
1. In iTunes, choose Advanced > “Subscribe to Podcast.”
2. Enter the podcast’s Internet address. You can usually find the address of a podcast on that podcast’s webpage.
Indeed you can, Apple. Our’s is always in the upper right under the “Subscribe to RAW” badge. Once it’s in your iTunes you can sync it with your iPod, iPhone (or heck, your Palm Pre if they can keep the iTunes sync functionallity working).
Now, if you’re a screwball like me and use Zune, here’s the process:
To subscribe to a podcast in Zune:
1. In the Zune software, go to “Collection” and “Podcasts”
2. In the lower left, click “Add A Podcast”.
3. In the window that pops up, enter the address to one of our ‘casts.
Just like with iTunes, once it’s in your collection you can sync it with your device, and carry around that inimitable Roberts Imaging experience wherever you go.
