I’m almost done with the New Nikon Coolpix Camera introductions. At least the ones that have arrived here at your headquarters for Nikon camera sales in Indianapolis, or on the Internet.  We’ve talked about the Nikon Coolpix L-series cameras, the Nikon Coolpix S220 and S230 cameras, and in an earlier blog (The Next Wave; February 19th) I talked up the new Nikon Coolpix S560 cameras.
Now it is time to move up to the next branch of the Nikon family tree. It’s time to look at the Nikon Coolpix S630 cameras.

  • High ISO up to 6400 capability helps give you sharper results when shooting in low light or capturing fast-moving subjects. This creates new opportunities to take sharper, more natural-looking photos in lower light conditions. ISO 3200 and ISO 6400 is available at 3MP or lower resolution.
  • Nikon’s original Best Shot Selector (BSS) automatically takes up to 10 shots while the shutter is pressed and then saves the sharpest image.

• Scene Auto Selector
• New Sports Continuous Scene Mode for shooting at up to 11fps, up to 20 frames, when you set the resolution to 3MP or lower. These high-speed capture settings help you stay ahead of the action. Whether it is a swift golf or baseball swing, to the fast action on the soccer field. At 11fps, you will capture that action.

The design of these bodies is even more ergonomic and user friendly than their recent predecessors.  I like the curved thumb rest position which affords a better grip on the camera. The look and the feel is better and of course all Nikon Coolkpix cameras still use convenient and affordable SD memory cards.
