Canon has announced another HD camcorder that shoots to SD Memory cards. It is the Canon VIXIA HF11. This is another of the new AVCHD camcorders that has the new 24Mbps recording level for improved picture quality. It has 32MB of internal flash memory which gives almost 3 hours at the highest quality mode. You can put SD memory cards in the camera for extended recording.

SD flash memory cards have really come down in price too. Sandisk cards in 16GB SD are now under $120! You can go about an hour and a half on a 16GB in best quality. This camera is really small. This is the smallest camcorder that I have used that puts out quality which gives the three-chip cameras a run for their money.
